Sbi Manager’s Death: Viscera Sample To Be Sent To Guwahati | Guwahati News

Silchar: Police have decided to send the viscera sample of SBI (Kabuganj branch) manager, Kuldip Dasgupta, who was found dead in office earlier this month to a forensic laboratory in Guwahati to ascertain the cause of his death.
Kuldip, who hailed from Silchar, was found hanging in the stationery room of the bank around 9:30am on January 7. The body was sent by police to Silchar Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.
Superintendent of police (Cachar) Numal Mahha told the media on Monday that the autopsy report of Kuldip did not indicate “foul play”.
“‘His viscera sample has been collected and it will be sent to a forensic laboratory in Guwahati so that the exact cause of his death can be ascertained. Investigation into the matter is under way. His family members have alleged that he was murdered,” he said.
The case’s investigating officer and Sonai police station’s officer in-charge M Handique said the post-mortem report has revealed that it was a case of suicide. The viscera sample of Kuldip is expected to be sent to Guwahati for forensic test on Tuesday, Handique said.
